  The current information I’m getting from mainland China is that many citizens are trying to get their money back from the banks and the banks are not able to pay their depositors.

  Sirji, Logan Wright of Rhodium Group has a new book out, and it takes a purely financial perspective. &nbsp;His conclusion is that the Chinese economy is decaying. &nbsp;China ran up a huge debt after the 2008 financial crisis. &nbsp;Because the political will to force losses due to Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) is not there, the government just keeps making the banks to keep rolling over the loans. &nbsp;One result is poor capital allocation. &nbsp;<br><br>Also the money required to e.g., double the rural pensions is negligible compared to the industrial subsidies that China provides. &nbsp;China can make a choice to endure some short term pain but can expand its internal market, reduce the need to export, etc., but the political leadership is lacking.<br><br>This nicely dovetails with your vlog on the IMF plan. &nbsp;Also even with the issues like demographics, just from pure finance, China is decaying. &nbsp;There is no real competition with the US.

Take Foxconn, for example: although wages at their Indian factories are only a third of those in China, the production cost of their phones is still 10% higher than in China. When it comes to Fortune Global 500 companies, China has 111, while India has only 10. As of September 30, 2026, China has launched 65 rockets into space, compared to India&apos;s 3. At the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, China won 150 gold medals, whereas India took home just 10.Without comparison, the gap wouldn&apos;t be so apparent. The disparity between China and India is much wider than many people realize. Yes, perhaps China is declining, but India still can&apos;t even catch a glimpse of China&apos;s taillights
