"It's hard for me to criticize Rubinstein - he was one of the greatest players at the time, and I'm not". A wonderfully modest and respectful statement, even though as a modern GM you <i>are</i> one of the greatest players now, a light-year ahead of anyone watching these videos, and surely a match for Rubinstein.

Superb Strategy , Mix of King's Gambit with Gucio Piano .....It would be highly effective under 2200 ELO. Many Players wont be able to weather the storm. GM Igor Smirnov , Best Teacher.

Igor I started playing chess April of 2023. I had zero experience before. I found your video on the bishops opening and the way you explain the logic behind the moves really clicked for me. I tried other content creators, and it was not the same. Today I ONLY watch your content, and I am currently 1458 and still learning every day. Bishops opening is still my fave to this day. Thank you for all of your knowledge!
