Great detailed info, enjoyed it . I appreciate the shout out to my cringy old video. If I knew how historical that footage would now be I would have taken it more seriously with its presentation. Ahh the early days of YouTube . Keep up the good work

They missed a great opportunity to make it a Nickelodeon museum with all the original interior still intact.

I was on Family Double Dare in 1997. Before taping, the producers gave us an all-access pass to the building. Touring it and simply being there was a magical, unforgettable experience. 💜

I am a current Universal Studios Florida Employee and can confirm that this building is used daily but mainly for a lot of different events external and internal. It's been mainly remodeled to be all offices, rehearsal spaces, meeting spaces, and even where public shows are held. Even after the Blue Man group has left.

It is really cool to walk through the halls as an employee knowing that a lot of the shows I gre up watching were filmed there and walking the same halls as the cast and crew did back in the 90s.

However, there is no longer any signs of what used to be there. No left over art, walls have been repainted, and a lot of the interior have been remodeled. I will also state that I have not been fully in the entire structure so I can only speak to the areas I have been to and seen.

The issue is as you stated, filming is not very popular here. Most filming is done by college students at either UCF or Full Sail. After they graduate, they move to the west coast, Georgia, or even New York.

Everything about this studio’s demise makes me sad. I wish there were a way to recapture the feelings of fun, goofy creativity it helped inspire when my friends and I were kids. Even our local McDonald’s looks like a bank now.

How many people are like me, where you grew up watching these shows and now you are an adult and can afford to visit, it no longer exists.

I'll never forget taking my oldest son, Joshua, to Nickelodeon studios. The crew was going through the waiting line looking for kids to participate in the tour. They chose Josh and wisked him away. They were showing how they made the movie Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, and Joshua got to ride the bumblebee just like in the movie. I sure wish they had taped it or something so we could have had it. I lost Josh three years ago and wish more than ever I had that on tape or something. No cell phones back then and I never had a video camera. I do have my memories however, and thank you for this jog down memory lane. 🩷💜❤️

I'm 37 now and grew up during Nick's golden age of animation and scripted shows. Even as an adult, I can go back and watch episodes of Pete & Pete, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, and others, and I'm still really impressed by the creative freedom and production quality of those shows. The early-mid 90s was a great time to be a kid!

The original Abandoned video on Nickelodeon Studios was the first video from this channel I saw back in 2015. It’s been an amazing journey to see how far Jake has come since he started Abandoned years ago. He has since created other series on this channel like Bankrupt and Cancelled. I’m excited to see what Jake has in store for us in the future.

This place should've been a museum

All of us that were kids in the 90s were really lucky to grow up with prime nickelodeon. So so so so so many good shows.

I’ve lived in Florida almost all my life, and as a kid I used to take so much pride in knowing Nickelodeon Studios was in my state and that I lived so close to it. When they moved filming to CA it felt like something was being taken from me. It’s like when Cartoon Network started airing live actions shows and they stopped using the black and white checkerboard logo. The vibe just completely changed — you feel the corporate takeover on another level.
