  Luke, I am a siren entheusiast. There arent different types of sirens for different things around the city. Doesnt matter what emergency it is, they will use the same sirens they would as a regular tornado warning.<br><br>Each county has they&apos;re own siren system. For instance, my county is made up of mostly Whelen WPS series sirens, and two ATI HPSS-32 sirens.<br><br>Each different emergency will use different signals. Signals are different sounds the siren makes.<br><br>If we were to get bombed, they would do an &quot;Attack&quot; signal. <br><br>For that signal, it will wind up, start to wind down, then wind up, and keep doing that for 3 to 5 minutes.<br><br>If the bomb wasnt at us and passed over, they would do an &quot;All clear&quot; or &quot;Alert&quot; signal.<br><br>There, the siren winds up, stays on, then winds back down after 3 to 5 mins.<br><br>Theres many more signals to go through but I dont really want to.<br><br>If you even read this far thanks

  Fun fact: i think the shankha translates to conchshell, and in hindu wars, people used to sound conchshells to signify the start of war
