Ironically he's mining in the plains and living in the hills. So realistic xD

I think the cargo train stations could have been laid out better, which might have prevented the despawning issue with some of the trains. Perhaps placing those stations along the railroad in a way that allows trains to enter and exit in a more logical fashion instead of those weird curves. Perhaps also having separate tracks connecting the train depot with each of the cargo stations, to further ease train traffic problems.
Perhaps it would have also been a good idea to get a fire station with a disaster unit and wildfire combat capabilities, so those wildfires could be managed better and not threaten your first village as much.

great video! just wanted to say the reason your trains were only carrying 30t of stone was because they only had 1 stone car. you can customize your trains under the transportation overview menu, and you click on each individual train line and can pick what type of engine and what cars you want to allow.

The pricing of resources is dynamic, the more you export the more it will decline. Also stone is very heavy and the game considers that for calculating the price for transportation. You could try building a port to lower the cost for transportation and create more outside conections to acquire new markets but I think stone is just not the right ressource to make money from exporting.

Discovering that the mines complain when they're right next to each other raises the question as to how much space they need between them to not complain.

As regards the rail terminals, I noticed a train would stop on the Main Line and reverse into the station blocking the ML for the train behind it. To prevent that, you could have a loop off the ML for the train to pull into - just 1 train length long - and then attach the entrance to the station to the loop, not the ML directly.
--------------------------- main line -----------------------------------
\ / \ (one way track to ML - flip direction to match map exit)
--------- 1 train length -------------------------------------
\
|
/
Terminal -------------------------------------------------

As for capacities, I'm wondering if the train simulates specialised wagons that can only be filled with certain types of cargo. So, this would mean the wagons for mining products are filled and the train leaves with all the other wagons empty, like oil tankers, lumber trucks, general goods, and specialised goods.

If you're making 250k from industry taxes at 10%, the industry is making 2.5m gross. I don't know whether that reflects how much stone industry you have down or not.

I would suggest you increase the taxes on industry. The government doesn't get all profit from industry only the taxes 😅
