  I remember watching my parents dance together. They were so in sync with each other and anticipated each other’s moves. They didn’t have to even look at each other to know what the other would do next. It was magic. They were married as teenagers in 1956 and were married 64 years before mom passed. Guess that’s where I got my love of music and dancing.

  I made sure Saturday chores were finished so I could  watch American Bandstand and Soul Train. It was my HAPPY PLACE🎉❤

  Explains why my dad was such a good dancer. I watched him dance at a wedding once and my jaw dropped. Everyone there just stopped talking, eating, etc. and just watched him go.  He lots of hidden talents, I only discovered them one at a time over the years. RIP Dad.

  It was great being a teen in the 1960s. We had fun, danced our hearts out, and had great music!

  Loved watching the Bandstand! Watching this makes this 73 yr old feel young. I can still dance!!! Couple #3

  I was born in 60..I had older sisters, also younger...we did the housework our mom wanted/ needed done, then took our large living room and made it our own dance floor..we were thin and had energy to spare...if you slept over at a friends, you danced there!!<br>I have many great memories of those days. D C was an amazing host! Without all of the other electronics, the hi fi and tv were our connection. I had a part time job, I used some of my earnings to buy records, albums...played them with caution!! mom yelled if we sped up the dial ( everybody sounded funny then) thanks mom for scolding us, I learned to be careful and respectful. My children and grandchildren only know about those days, thru my remembrances!! &nbsp;I am grateful I lived in those family oriented, respect ourselves and others, sit down and eat together, say grace, go to church days!! I am blessed!

  I’m in my 70’s and still love dancing thanks to American Bandstand!!! &nbsp;Such a wonderful time to grow up!!!
