Casting Dwight Yoakum in “Sling Blade” was a genius move. That man was absolutely loathsome, and you never doubted it for a moment. Every actor in that movie gave their best, but I don’t think he gets nearly enough praise.

He's being extremely humble. Slingblade is one of the best films I have ever seen. Its a movie you see once and it stays with you forever.

I had the same roommate from 1997 until 2008. The first night we were living together, we watched "Sling Blade" together. We quoted that movie the entire time we lived together.

Sling blade was lightning in a bottle. A perfect combination of story, characters and acting, that comes very close to elevating movies from transitory to art. It stays with you forever.

I’ve met Billy Bob. Class act. I couldn’t believe he was just like a normal guy. No ego. Kind and easy going.

I work in a hardware store and we have a shop where there is one guy who does small engine repairs. He has a picture on the wall of Karl with the hand written caption "It ain't got no gas in it.".
