I’ve had a hard time with seb derm + acne, and sometimes the treatment for one seemed like it would aggravate the other. Prescription strength azelaic acid gel has been really helpful in reducing the background burden of seb derm, although it took a couple months of consistent use to begin to notice any difference at all. The difference is subtle but just enough to keep things under control for me. Thanks for the additional tips!

Really love these videos as someone with sebderm! What is your take on dismantling the sebderm biofilm? It’s been many folks’ experience (including my own) that anti fungals were effective in the beginning but lost efficacy over time until an ingredient was introduced to break up potential biofilm; following the implementation, efficacy of anti fungals resumed. Just curious to hear your take on it.

Popular ingredients to break up biofilm being things like diluted white vinegar, xylitol, topically applied colloidal silver, etc.

Thanks for all of the great info you give :)

My SD flares up from stress - has all my life. I have really thick coarse hair, so I have to make sure the shampoo gets to my scalp, and to dry my hair - air drying my hair aggravates it, even though it takes me forever to blow dry my hair. It means I have to wash my hair daily, so it’s time consuming. I have to wash my hair after a sweaty workout. Swimming in chlorinated pools oddly prevents flare ups; I just have to wash it out before it trashes my hair.

How lucky am I to research this five days after you posted the video. I use nizoral and leaving it on the skin for a while seems to be the way, i can literally feel it affecting the areas.
