Freddi’s gender neutral name and lack of sexually dimorphic eyelashes did so much for feminism tbh

Freddi: we have to lock in. If we don't find these kelp seeds, all of the fish will die.
Luther: you're my best friend :)

So I love Midnight Snap on my own time, but I need you to know that my 3yo saw the thumbnail for this one when we were sitting down for dinner today, and it's what she wanted to watch. She has no idea what Freddie Fish is, and has no prior interest in fish, but THIS is what she wanted to watch damn it, and she was INCREDIBLY INVESTED.

thank you so much for this series. in the past 6 days i've been through some of the hardest times in my life as my solo mom-- only 62-- completely unexpectedly passed, and we had to put down our senior dog that we shared due to cancer. the first two nights i could barely sleep as i was plagued with grief and couldn't stop thinking about everything, and then my friend recommended me this playlist. it has still been hard to fall asleep, but i've been putting these on and they're an amazing distraction for my mind. i appreciate the length of them so much because i get about 60-80% through before i'm able to fall asleep. thank you very much penny for making these, i will treasure them for the amount of comfort they've brought me. i appreciate it more than words can truly say. i apologize as well if this feels like i just wanted to vent, as i didn't intend that, i just wanted to let you know that you've given me peace that i've needed in an incredibly tough time. take care, much love ♥

I woke up to penny calling the cowgirl fish a baddie and pondering the morals of farming sentient fish. 10/10

Extremely agree with the Blue's Clues talk around 1:19:30. So many of my favorite shows when I was little just treated me like another member of the adventure, not just a kid who happened to be there. The Upside Down Show, Bear in the Big Blue House, Imagination Movers, etc. are all so comforting for me even to this day.

“the first verse was a lament about his problems, the second one was just a threat of violence” that’s called the blues!
