My grandad moved in pretty posh circles because he grew up fabulously wealthy but lost it all when his dad died unexpectedly without life insurance – one of his Oxford buddies was so posh that he signed off even his written letters with "chuzz" instead of "cheers"

As a German, I find these videos particularly interesting! At school, we usually learn RP, maybe because it is more "compatible" with the German language (?)

Personally, I don’t care how Tom Hiddleston speaks. It’s all beautiful to me because of the timbre of his voice. It’s smooth, breathy, and mellifluous. Very attractive.

The poshest of posh English people these days sound slightly drunk at all times. My facetious hypothesis is that they never actually talk to anyone without the presence of wine, and they've forgotten that it's possible to maintain control over one's speech at all.
