THANK YOU for posting these memorable dinners. So many I still make today. Some I forgot about but will start making again. My mom's Sloppy Joe's never came out of a can, always made from scratch. I still make mine the same way, delicious!!

Tuna and noodles was good, and I really am glad my mom never caught made it on the stove only. Nothing on top, or baked in the oven.

Anyone priced chipped beef if you can find it?  Cost is why we don’t still eat it. It was good.

Mom talks about creamed macaroni not Mac and cheese. The amount of salt needed to make that taste good goggles the mind.  Reminds me of tuna and noodles. Our was a stove top version but needs a bit of salt to flavor it.  When I make a bowl I either put a thin layer sprinkle a little salt and repeat or get a bowl and sprinkle the top and eat a layer and salt the next layer. I am not big on milk based gravy unless really seasoned. It is just bland.
