Thank you all for your kind comments. Losing Pooch has been very difficult. Your words & sympathy are comforting.

Regarding the repaired capacitor, several of you pointed our that the dissipation factor had not improved. You are correct, I was misremembering the original value. This means that the problem of the capacitor persists. I will probably just turn it into another standard, maybe a resistor one.

Lastly, the handheld LCR meter is internally using 4-wires, but the user cannot extend the wires beyond the terminals. Therefore, you will be forced to extend two wires to DUT if further away.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Pooch. I only met him briefly in person, but seeing him on the channel always brought a smile to my face.

I saw the halo and wings on the title card, and was like, “oh, no”… I cried a little. Just got to the end of the video and saw the “In loving memory”… and now I’m crying again. 😭

I’ve been watching this channel for probably 13+ years; one of the first I followed with any regularity. I knew that Pooch was getting old, and that he’d pass sooner than later, but I didn’t expect it to hit like this. I know 16-17 years is a long life for a kitty, and that Pooch was well-loved, but I’m still a grown man, messy crying and blowing my nose over a nerdy dude’s cat that I only know from YT. 🥺

Thank you, Shahriar, for all the amazing videos. I’ve learned so much from you over the years. The passion you have for sharing knowledge is incredible, inspiring, and much appreciated.

A nice “Repaired by The Signal Path” label on that precision capacitor definitely warranted.
