One thing you missed out:
In the SNES version you can only get a blue, yellow or red Yoshi by feeding one of the babies in Star World.
In the GBA version you need this only once and after that you also get those colored version in every Yoshi block depended on which powerup you're wearing:
Small = Green, Mushroom = Yellow, Flower = Red, Cape = Blue.

Prefer the All Stars + World version cause it’s still the SNES but with the new Luigi sprite

Love both of them, wish they kept the Luigi sprite from the all stars version to the GBA.

One of the best games of all time. I preferred this over SMB3

I got the GBA version ot launch, I immediately noticed most of the differences after playing the SNES version for my childhood. It's only today after all these years I learned how Yoshi behaves differently with Luigi!

If you ask me, the "Super Mario Advance" series doesn't get NEARLY enough credit. I say that because as someone born in 1997, the NES and SNES were WELL past their retail expiration date, so I sadly didn't have access to either. I did however have both an N64, GameCube and GameBoy Advance. So while I ate up "Super Mario 64/Sunshine" which were the two newest mainline outings for the franchise at the time, I also had "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe" and the "Super Mario Advance Series". These were fantastic ways to introduce younger kids born LONG after the NES/SNES hayday to classic 2D Mario, but with added elements to make them more accessable to newcommers. The games were fundamentally the same, but now with new and improved save features for newbies, as well as fully voiced soundbites from Charles Martinet for those who never grew up hearing the voices of Captain Lou Albano and Danny Wells from "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show", and they were portable. So not only was the "Super Mario Advance" series a fantastic way for oldschool fans to revisit Mario's classic 2D adventures on the go, but they were also a PERFECT way to introduce NEW fans to oldschool Mario.

Another major difference is that in the GBA version, after you unlock the coloured Yoshis in the star world, whenever you get a Yoshi in any level it’ll be one of the four colors. In the SNES version you can only get the coloured Yoshis in their levels in star road, aside from the blue Yoshi, which can be gotten by reaching a coin heaven with another Yoshi.

I played both simultaneously. I had the gba version and played the snes at my grandparents. I didn’t realize how different the two games actually were until much later.
