I agree with Sal that it would have been so cool if they had done Batman: Venon and Sword of Azrael but I felt it didn’t hurt this movie overall. Was great to see them stick so close to the actual comics while trimming a bit of the fat, really looking forward to the next one.

This movie was a 12/10! Anson Mount killed his roll as Batman and Michael Mando was HORRIFYING as Bane! Just absolutely blown away. AzBat is coming in Part 2 and about to open a can of Gotham style whoop ass. So excited! Great review guys!

I think people definitely would have tuned into a "Sword of Azrael" movie. If "The Doom that Came to Gotham" of all stories can get an animated adaptation, I think anything goes.

Ivy becoming a mayor was really sped through, but the seeds (pardon the pun) of the plot have been foreshadowed for about a year, or two. So, this was most likely Wilson long term plan, but it is a shame we didn't get to see her go through the campaign much

I’m really excited to check out Knightfall. It was basically my first Batman comic. Had the pleasure of reading Batman 500 at the time of it’s release.<br>I’m kind of bummed they went with the Kelly Jones designs. Neal Adams’ style is what I always picture when I think of when I think of Knightfall. Also, I really hate the Arkham Asylum, giant behemoth rendition of Bane. I prefer him as he was in the interior art of the comics: a really big GUY, but not unrealistically so.
