  Its so interesting to see that a few of them we're neurodivergent too. I think the link between AuADHD and addiction is vastly overlooked

  Was a real pleasure to come back and be involved in such an important topic.   How sickening is it when you listen to content like this and hear about how addiction tore through these people’s lives, the video is interrupted by adverts from Ladbrokes shortly after hearing a gambling addiction horror story

  Watching people actually listen. Listen to what someone has to say or add is so refreshing. There were no egos, no judgment, just people listening and adding to the narrative with their thoughts and experiences. As someone with an additive personality, who could easily be at rock bottom if it wasn’t for circumstance, it was just refreshing to hear people talk and listen.

  My Guru told me &quot;Addiction is nothing but a deep focused concentration and forget the world.<br>When we forget the world, we feel happiness. The same is happening in our deep sleep(forgetting the world) and feeling happy.<br><br>If we keep our concentration on outside (example: on alcohol or car or sex), it has side effects but instead if we are Self attentive we will get the happiness and it has no side effects.<br><br>Happiness is your nature.   It’s so fascinating how different the specifics of one’s addiction can be from another, though the themes and struggles mostly remains the same. Recovery is so beautiful

  I find it telling that the first word used to describe the effects of addiction was « isolation ». So, so true. We can be surrounded by family, friends and people but be completely isolated by addiction. I’d also add a complete lack of empathy and serenity accompanies that isolation.
