I didn't realize that this game actually started the over-the-shoulder third person trend that other action video games still use.

GC on Wii with HDMI 480p upscaled is the best version, of this masterpiece, of all time.<br>With zoomed ratio and antiflickering off it&apos;s incredible.

Who knew that all you need to become highly resistant to headshots is a simple sack.

This is why I had the hardest time calling 6th gen games retro. Look at how gorgeous it is today.

It cracks me up when there&apos;s a treasure in a drawer or cabinet to sell that is found right next to the merchant.

I have played this game over 30 times across many versions, and I had no idea you could fight two chainsaw enemies in the village. Holy moly. I always went in the house for the shotgun quick to specifically NOT to miss out on the chainsaw money drop. Now I find out 21 years later (aack, I&apos;m old, turns to dust) that there is a ruby in the village at the start of the game???

This is one of the best video games ever made and an excellent homage to horror and action movies and other media from the past (Parasyte, The Thing, Terminator 2, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Aliens, Rambo, Evil Dead, Eyes Wide Shut) It even referenced the very first Resident Evil movie with the laser hallway! The absolute mad lads!

Cool that it&apos;s recorded with an HDMI mod but kind of a bummer that they didn&apos;t disable the deflicker filter that blurs everything. For those who don&apos;t know Wii has a forced deflicker filter that blurs everything so the dithering isn&apos;t as apparent. The aspect ratio is also a little wider than it&apos;s supposed to be (15,62:9 is the intended one) but it&apos;s not a huge deal
