My go to flash for this type of look is the Godox Lux Senior. I've had good results plus the models love the retro look of the flash. I also like the glimmer glass filter.

That pop-out diffuser on the large speedlight at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRraQKPIwHM&t=292">4:52</a> is the wide angle diffuser that, when deployed, automatically sets your flash's zoom to 14mm (basically, an ultra wide spread of light); you can't change the zoom until you retract that diffuser. At least that's how it was on the original Canon 600 EX-RT. i had mine for 10 years and it only just gave up the ghost a few months ago. Loved that speedlight to death. It was a real workhorse. One of the best speedlights ever created.

I used to think that flashes were crutches.<br>That "real" photographers would either dance with the available light in their environment or would set up continuous (studio) lighting.<br>I'm just now beginning to make peace with flash photography.
