Fascinating interview. This album changed my life. All these years later, there is still no album that SOUNDS like it. Produced and engineered to PERFECTION. Not a single aesthetic mistake. Literally perfect. Untouched and untouchable.

When I used to buy hi-fi gear, I would always bring in Violator to play and test the gear. It sounds sooooo good!

Prince also used an SM57 for vocals in the control room. Bono loves using SM58s in the studio (not always). It's not all about Neumann U87s etc.
