Not just indian companies even japanese auto giants and german auto giants companies also buy batteries from BYD.

They are compelled to rely on these Chinese companies. China meticulously strategized and invested in developing its EV ecosystem as early as 2000, a foresight that is now yielding significant returns.

On the other hand, BYD has partnered with HUBC in Pakistan to manufacture EVs. The initial target is 25000 units per year to supply in Pakistan, middle east and Africa. The plant is supposed to start production in 2027.

First point should be, China controls the 95% of the mineral materials needed for battery preparation. So everyone will be dependent on it.

India does not encourage R&D. Even our large private companies don't. Large corporations are happy to import technology and sell it here. Now they are getting a rude shock. Tata has taken the right first step. But I am surprised that there is no similar news from Maruti and Mahindra.
