  What amazes me most is how a singularity is both the simplest and the most mysterious idea in physics. A place where everything we know stops making sense feels strangely peaceful to think about.

  The most interesting way to think about a singularity is probably not as a tiny point containing infinite stuff, but as a sign that our current description of reality has reached its limit. An equation producing infinity feels less like an answer and more like physics quietly telling us, “there’s something missing here.”

  I’m a piano teacher based in Unionville (Markham), Ontario, Canada, with a background in Science and Math education—same analytical brain, now expressed through a keyboard instead of a chalkboard.   The dark energy propelling the universe to be expanding faster than the speed of light, have to be counteracting the gravitational forces and the singularity somehow.
