The theme of Odysseus & co being Australians and thus being unable to stop having barbecues wherever they roam is one of the funniest things I heard on this podcast 😂😂🤍

The Odyssey is a metaphor for ultimately tragic night out with the boys - “I’ll be back in a few hours babe, I won’t be late”

As an Aussie, let me be clear there is no moment that qualifies as inappropriate for a BBQ. Except, perhaps, while driving.

I listened to a 14 cassette audio book on the way home from Tennessee back in the 90s. I cried so hard at Odysseus meeting Telemachus and his dog that I had to pull over. It is 100% an amazing audio. Narrated by Ian McClellan. I now have the Audible copy.

I think Argos is important. I would sail the world to get back to my dog.

Excellent work as always fellas. <br>Maybe just my own experience as a soldier but I’ve always thought about the story as a soldier having to deal with his PTSD demons before he can go back to his family.

As an Australian I can entirely confirm that they are behaving exactly as I would expect of my countryman.
