NOTE: At 1:59 I say that the cases are Zinc plated. This is incorrect, it's nickel plated. Purely a mis-speak.

This makes power factor for nrl hunter and PRSuit matches quite a bit more interesting.

But what does it due to the throat of the rifling eats it away twice as fast

I like the point about also developing projectiles specifically for high pressure cases/ammo

This is amazing for young shooters. To get your first low recoil deer rifle that only an ammo change can give you same basic ballistics as a 270.

You’ll never need another rifle.

Love the quality of production man. Even the little details like tying the bow on the suppressor cover are top notch <3

I think this changes the very nature of the 6.5 creed cartridge. I got rid of one because it just didn't reach the velocity threshold I like for a hunting cartridge, except with the 100gr ttsx. Federal is advertising 3100fps for a 127gr lrx with these cases. That's equal to or perhaps a bit ahead of the 6.5prc, while still retaining the ability to shoot milder brass case ammo for target loads. I have a Tikka at present with a 6.5 creed barrel on it I basically bought for the action to convert to a 6mm or 22 creed. I'm definitely going to give that 127gr lrx +peak load a chance this deer season before I make a decision now.

Most Americans think "bigger/faster/more" is always better, and it may be, but SAMMI and firearm manufacturers need to get on board

The past has been harsh to proprietary gadgets in the fire arm business!! I hope the average common rifleman can utilize this tech without taking a mortgage out on his home!!!

Got to see some of this in action recently. What I was told: Is "reloadable" but will destroy your mandrel inside 100 rounds and they were having some difficulties setting consistent case length/shoulder bump. They were kind of just shooting for few thousandths window, but it was a definite consideration. Barrel life is completely up in the air. The Terminal Ascent didn't group well. Maybe 2 MOA on a good day. (per them) They were handloading, I think Bergers on top of Varget, to past 3k. (Compressed loads) They're stuff was, f-ing, impressive.... like WOW! They also said, infinitely better than the NAS3 case design.

I'd imagine 556 is already in production for the army. 556 does it's magic due to its speed, but more military operators are using shorter barrels. Keeping the performance of an 18ish inch barrel on a 12.5 gas gun with a can on it is a game changer for the military. It'll mitigate hearing loss (and hearing loss based disability payouts after soliders leave active service), increase manueverability, decrease in weight. Only a matter of time before production works up to the civilian market.
