  This is very informative and very true.  However, the philosophical ideology behind WHY schools don't schools teach these things is what I find most interesting.

  The part about cooking is sooooo on point. My fiance never bothered to read recepy books, but her intuition is amazing, she cares about basic techniques knowledge, and she&apos;s obsessed with learning the foundations and connections of our world through experience. She visited me in Middle Asia while being completely unfamiliar with the local cuisine. Just a couple of weeks later, after trying foods in some cafes and exploring the local bazaars, she started cooking fantastic meals in the local style BETTER than in many cafes and restaurants.<br><br>Meanwhile, my mother is a hyper-educated smartass with a bunch of golden medals from her school times. She memorized hundreds recepies, yet my whole childhood I&apos;d been eating bland food with weird texture and it was often burnt and undercooked at the same time because she&apos;s got zero intuition and care for cooking, just perfected school mindset...<br>The rest of the video is perfectly on point, too - this one just hit especially close to home.
