  My uncle was a Marine biologist in Florida. He inspected reefs to<br>Protect them. Well he found a cable one day and reported it. &nbsp;Nothing happens. He sees the cable still there when inspecting the area later. Boss tells him to drop it. He doesn&apos;t cause that&apos;s literally what they do. Boss threatens him. Turns out boss took a bribe and a long legal battle ensues. Really crushed my uncle.

  I am 71 years old and a handicap scuba diver and I cried when I saw this video. The last time I saw a barrel sponge that big was on the Great Cayman Wall in 1979. This is really awful. Thank you for trying to help 🙏 the terrible situation.

  Good work eliminating that killer. That wire was a hazard to the reef and to navigation, too. That should be a crime anywhere.

  Sponges have pretty incredible regenerative capabilities. &nbsp;I bet that sponge was able to knit itself back together thanks to you all!

  The fact that someone thought it was a good idea to use construction wire that long in the ocean is unbelievable. Like we get fed from the ocean yet we can’t show even the most decent common sense when it comes to how we treat our ocean and it’s sad cause we do the same on land 😢
