Not only did you get to enjoy a tasty New Zealand pie, but you also had the unexpected pleasure of meeting a future star resident of our esteemed penitentiary institution. Quite the cultural experience!

As an Aucklander I am sorry you witnessed the sad cases in our society that sadly don't seem to have anything better to do. Go the mighty Pies Cranberry chicken and camembert my favourite!

I think they gave you the wrong pie the hangi pie doesn't have mince in it, the hangi pie has chunks of pork and pumpkin

I live in Christchurch and my local bakery is also makes great pies. Over the years so many takeaways stores are run by new immigrants, I think they've embraced what all Kiwis love and commit to doing it better. Love our growing diverse population.

Ah Blue Rose are my local. The Hangi Pie is my favourite, but what you were given was a mince pie. Now I want another one.
