  As an artist, when I want to depict evil that’s associated with violence, the color combination of black and red comes to mind first. The green and purple color motif is more representative of the greedy/conniving type of evil, and your explanation of bankers/royalty being associated with these two colors makes so much sense.

  I do think you've forgotten one Disney villain from this list, and its one of the most modern of them... Tamatoa, from Moana. He's purple all over and quite literally carries his wealth on his sleeve, and his back, and all around him.

  The lack of orange in villains is actually pretty simple. It was traditionally a very difficult color to get to stand out in color printing. Red and yellow inks were combined to make the browns that would often color buildings and other backdrops. It made it difficult to produce an orange that would stand out against those backdrops.

  I think there’s another reason you missed. In old books and comic books the printing method made it so the primary colors look sharp and “stick out”. That’s why they colored most superheroes with those colors, and it stuck. With supervillains they wanted colors that caught the eye more than the brown and gray backgrounds, but less than the super heroes, so they chose secondary colors like purple and green

  I can't believe Matpat mentioned purple and green being complimentary secondary colors for evil and DIDN'T mention Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb. Everything he owns is purple and green! Literally everything! His houses, his vehicles, his inventions, everything!

  At first, you would think Dr. Facilier would be an exception of the royalty rule,  he even called himself a “poor sinner” in his first song. But, he also said “y’know, I’m a royal myself, on my mothers side,” at an earlier point in the SAME song

  He asked if we pictured someone in particular when he gave us that purple and green palette... and my brain went, "Yeah, Barney the Dinosaur."

  What I love about Jack Horner is his general vibe is “I’m bad and I love it”. Also another colour twist can be found in The Owl House: White and Gold are seen as holy colours and are often associated with the church, but Emperor Belos wears these colours for most of the series, and he is no holy man, I mean he has fratricide and attempted genocide on his rap sheet

  The radium girls not only worked with the dangerous paint, but we're also encouraged to lick the tips of the paintbrushes to get a fine point. So not only were they in lose contact with radium but they also ingested it.

  Fun fact: in film school I was assigned a filmmaking book called "If it's purple, someone's gonna die." It explained why we associate certain colors and even more so shades of those colors with certain feelings and emotions. Violet Purple and Lime are evil colors
