Emad is getting the Eliezer story about the box wrong. He was not persuaded to let any AI out of an box. The experiment was Eliezer pretending to be an AI in a box talking to humans, Eliezer is claiming to have successfully persuaded the humans to set him free from the box.

I always think of the Star Trek episode where they visit a planet where AI took over centuries ago and now the generations of people alive have no clue how to fix it when the AI tech started to break down.

I've been watching A.I. development for over 15 years and been telling family and friends what's coming. It's stressed them out and their stress is only increasing. Now I've stopped bringing it up all together and resigned to just be ready for these massive changes and probably help guide and explain the current changes as time goes by. My guess is that everyone watching this video is in a similar boat.
