  I used to have a 425 sqft 1 bedroom condo right downtown during my late 20’s. &nbsp;For the same price, a friend had a 4 bedroom, huge detached house in a cookie cutter area in Cambridge Ontario. &nbsp;I’d prefer my condo instead of living the ‘American Beauty’ life. &nbsp;Materially you might have less, but in geography you have more.

  This video is very accurate. I like how you speak of facts and don&apos;t cushion it. Vancouver is always changing, there will always be construction somewhere near your house, there will always be a mix of different cultures from all over the world. This is not the place where you come and say you want to live in a place where there will be no change in 30 years. <br>Also, about the rain, I don’t use an umbrella anymore too, to me I call it drizzling. It&apos;s very little rain. As long as you have a good rain coat and good rain shoes, you&apos;re set. It&apos;s is really a beautiful place

  I wish I had seen this video about lifestyle and trade offs before the 6 times I have moved in 5 years! It’s shocking how the lifestyle changes from neighborhood to neighborhood! I keep coming back to the west end! Such a lifestyle 🤩 but whew little space - trade offs! 😅

  People in the rest of Canada are quick to wine about all the rain in Vancouver, but forget how winter lasts 8 months and drops well below zero. I have to wait until May before I can cut my grass once, end of June for leaves to be out I full and April before the snow is gone., though I recall seeing snow in late May and many times in April... I don&apos;t try to convince people they are wrong... I&apos;m moving out to YVR... just need some more nuts to stash away :)

  I would like to chime in on the rain in Vancouver. &nbsp;On the bright side, if you have allergies, Vancouver will be better for you because it rains most of the time. &nbsp;Also, the humidity keeps your nose from drying out. &nbsp;I was told by allergy doctors that if you want to get rid of the allergies of living in California, you relocate to the Pacific Northwest.

  Last weekend my friends toured couple of brand new condos in a super prime location in North Vancouver, literally on the water (next door to &quot;The Shipyard&quot; complex) facing downtown and they were shocked at how &quot;ordinary&quot; (to be generous) the quality level of these were, the lack of amenities (a small gym and that&apos;s it) but priced well into the stratosphere (~$1700-1800 per sq/ft). A location like that should call for a true luxury experience not just in price. For example, in downtown St Petersburg (Florida) overlooking the Tampa bay they are building a new Waldorf Astoria condo tower, (starting price at $1200 sq/ft) and the level of amenities, fit and finish is unreal, it includes a helipad on the rooftop. Final note, many people in Vancouver give up on the car because they can no longer afford one...just saying....
