Hello Pragmagik, I just wanted to say that the Philippines-based region you checked out years ago, The Bayan Region is actually real and will have a game made for it. Just want to remind you so that potential overlaps between designs of the fakemons are addressed even if it's a coincidence. Best of luck on the poll!

Modelling the professor after Lea Salonga makes me chuckle since she's a known gamer as well 😂😂😂😂

Just wanted to add. For the professor, giving her the whole "Sampaguita" is the filipino way rather than cutting it short to "Sampa". We love our long ass names, we also love our nicknames. I'd imagine someone named Sampaguita will go on to have "Sam" as her nickname. It's very common here to just know someone's nickname and not even their name (unless you are in a setting where you need to say your whole name of course).

As a Filipino myself, this is really fun to watch! Kudos to all the research you put in making these starter Pokemons. Boarberoka is probably my favorite among the three!

These look sick!!! If this region ever gets fleshed out, I would really love to see if you made mythicals/legendaries based on the natural disasters that annually goes through the Philippines. Incredibly powerful Pokemon based on storms, earthquakes, extreme heat and flooding would make sense in the context of this region

The Boarberoka line is my absolute FAVORITE LINE of these 3 starters! All 3 stages of this line are perfect ALL on their own!!! I’d definitely choose Bubboy as my starter for the Buhay Region! Spinangal is a close second, only because Spinangal is (imo) a lot better than its previous stages. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait to see which region gets picked for a full series!

 UY PHILIPPINES 🔥🔥

Anyway, I'd just like to add that tagalog is an intonation language, meaning the meaning of certain words change based on how words are intonated (depending on which syllables are exaggerated).
For example, the reason why Buhay means both Life and Living, is because of the two ways you pronounce it.
buHAY is the act of living
Meanwhile,
BUhay refers to the life of a person, or life as a noune.

If you wanna be able to pronounce filipino super well though, just pronounce all the vowels like this
a - ah
e - eh
i - ih
o - oh
u - oo
Of course, theres no h, but basically, just read everything "raw"
