We are taking our 10 year old daughter in august as she hasn't been. I highly recommend dinner under the stars if you like star gazing. They have telescopes and due to the almost zero light pollution you will see the milky way from horizon to horizon.

May I ask, I’m planning to go at the end of December (probably around the same time you went). Were there no flies? I’ve seen some people mention they encountered swarms of flies, and I’m quite worried about that.
