The Galaxie, identified as a 1965 is actually a 1963. The Mercury Comet, Ford Falcon and Mustang are all built on the same platform.

The evolution of the big American cars in the British saloon car championship is interesting. Galaxies, think the willment/Jack Sears car may have come from Holman and Moody in 63, at least two of the Mustangs in 65 were ex Alan Mann Monte cars, the Falcons were heavily modified from standard for 67 championship.<br>Great to see these old birds battling it out, the brakes which were a weak point in period, are now fully sorted.

"Yank here." You just don't realize how tiny a real Mini is until seeing it next to the Galaxy. :D BTW, I drove a 65 Galaxy with the 289 CI before. I have to say, it handled quite nicely on curvy roads. A car that size, with such a long tail, you'd think it cornered like a baseball bat. But it performed well!

It seems this should have been 2 different races 1st 25 & 2nd 25 cars. The Race was super Fun to Watch, I love this Track , Thank You! to the Film Crew & all the 65/66 Mustangs, LMAO
