How "Make Some Noise", a show that couldn't get better, got better

Oh my god, I&apos;ve forgotten that the buzzer wasn&apos;t there <s>the whole time</s> from the start 🤯

Additionally for the buzzer, now the scene doesn’t end until Sam says it ends. I noticed rewatching some old parts that the players would stop the scene when they thought it was finished, creating some very short prompts. but now they’re forced to keep going and take the bit even further which creates some of the best jokes

I bet they didn’t want to use a buzzer in season 1 to avoid comparisons with Whose Line Is It Anyway and its iconic buzzer, but they very quickly realized that such a device is essential to maintain the comedic tone during a cutoff

Another thing with the buzzer - Sam can hold his hand over it, giving the improvisers a sign that it&apos;s time to wrap things up without interrupting the scene! That way the performers can work toward a satisfying &quot;button&quot; (pun somewhat intended)

One change in Season 4 I really liked was the addition of a 4th cast member for the final minigame, who then sticks around for round 3.

I remember one early episode where Josh tries to add on to someone else&apos;s prompt and Sam screams &quot;JOSH it&apos;s not your prompt!&quot;<br><br>How far we have come indeed

plus, the cast&apos;s choice to include Sam in more of their prompts! I can&apos;t really remember/compare based on other seasons, but noticeably the newest season has had so much more messing with Sam which is just so funny 😂😂 lovely video! very funny!

Something that has made it better is the development of each player’s own running bits and having the time to develop them across seasons. For example, you have Lisa Gilroy who is cast as Sam’s outer saboteur, Ross Bryant as the “classical actor turned on his head”, Izzy Roland as the lead unhinged goblin, Vic Michaelis as the one who plays dumb like a fox, and so on. <br><br>“The Sneaky Girl Shuffle” episode continues to be one of my all time favorite episodes, because Lisa, Izzy, and Angela all keep those unique bits, but found the common links between them and played off of them. The Round Robin prompt of “Titles for Sam’s Memoir” is 10/10 no notes.

I rarely laugh out loud when I watch stuff but Ben Schwartz&apos; recurring &quot; It&apos;s a motherf*cking paaaarty&quot; bit had me in tears

Just so you know, it wasn&apos;t a trilogy of episodes, it was a quadrilogy. There was a Make Some Noise episode in the covid season, which they allude to in the Season 4 episode, because the point totals start higher than they were at the end of episode 2.
