(00:00:00) The reason why a death row inmate was commuted to life imprisonment was because he used the Heimlich maneuver in prison to save an inmate who almost choked to death on an iron egg. The judge thought that this man could still be educated, so he commuted the sentence to life imprisonment. But the police secretly lamented that this is Taiwan's justice. Even if you commit a heinous crime, as long as you do a good deed after making a mistake, you can avoid death. And what crime did this death row prisoner commit that made the police sigh like this? The case occurred in 2013, involving a man named Ah Xuan in Taoyuan. After gambling all night the night before, he had just driven back to Bade's residence and was taking a shower on the second floor when a car stopped in front of his house. Then four men got out of the car, claiming to be police from the Taipei City Criminal Police Department and wanted to investigate the case. Not only were the four men wearing criminal police vests and gloves, they were holding video equipment to search for evidence. One of them even presented a search ticket and rummaged through boxes and cabinets at the scene to seize millions in cash. At the same time, Ah Xuan was handcuffed and taken away. At that time, his family members were still confused about the situation and thought that Ah Xuan was really involved in a criminal case and was under investigation. The next day, Ah Xuan called home to report that he was safe and that the police had finished questioning him. But then he called his wife and told her to ask relatives and friends to transfer the money, and it was finally reduced from 10 million to 5 million. Why did she need so much money? But strangely enough, my wife didn’t ask much. Five million was raised, but when the agreed time and place arrived, Ah Xuan did not show up. Mrs. Xuan realized something was wrong and called the police. As a result, an investigation by the Taoyuan police found that there was no such thing as police handling the case across districts. Those four men who claimed to be Taipei City Criminal Investigation Bureau were simply fake police officers. This is probably a kidnapping and ransom case, and where will Ah Xuan be kidnapped? (00:47:06) The door opened. Xiaofeng was not in the room, but he saw a round cement. If he looked carefully at the round cement, he seemed to see the appearance of a person. Could it be that the missing Xiao Feng, is she sealed in the cement in front of her? Although the police had an ominous premonition, they still couldn't believe that there would be such a method of killing people and hiding corpses. They continued to ask Xiaofeng's brother and sister-in-law. Didn't any of you notice that this thing appeared in my sister's room? The response I received was that I don't know. Is the relationship between this family so cold? Or, in fact, they all know the secret hidden in the cement. (01:33:32) The Mid-Autumn Festival of 2000 was supposed to be a day for family reunion, but this father Li in New Taipei City was anxiously looking for his son everywhere. Later, he received a call from someone claiming to be a kidnapper. He said that his son had been kidnapped and demanded a ransom of 1 million. But Dad Li thought to himself, could you have made a mistake? Because he is a cement worker, and he is not from a wealthy family at all. Why would he choose their family for kidnapping? Could it be that the kidnapper made the wrong number? Or did he kidnap the wrong person? But he thought about it, what should he do if his son was really in the hands of the kidnappers? Father Li didn't dare to take any risks. He was willing to give the money, but he really couldn't come up with 1 million because he didn't have that much money. In the end, he bargained with the gangster, giving him 100,000 first and asking him to remit it to a designated account. But what’s very strange is that upon closer inspection, this account turns out to be his son’s account. What’s going on?
