Gefahr am Steilhang: Sicher arbeiten mit Motormäher, Traktor & Transporter | Heuernte in den Bergen

Working on slopes is not only physically demanding but also extremely dangerous. Every year, serious accidents occur involving machinery crashing down, people trapped, and sometimes fatalities. Most of these accidents could be prevented. With a multi-part short film series, we want to raise your awareness of safety. To this end, we've partnered with two leading technology companies: Lindner from Tyrol is the specialist when it comes to slope-capable tractors and transporters. Where the terrain becomes too steep for these machines, TerraTec from Vorarlberg comes into play, known for its slope-capable Ibex single-axle implement carriers – often referred to colloquially as motor mowers. Both manufacturers are dedicated to mountain farming and their product ranges complement each other perfectly. But even the best technology is only as valuable as the person operating it. This is where Johannes Strolz comes in. The professional skier and passionate mountain farmer grew up on steep slopes and brings a wealth of experience to the table. For two days, we had the opportunity to film him and his family during the hay harvest in the mountains. In this introductory episode, Johannes explains the fundamentals of working on slopes, the necessary preparations, and why every year is different. In the coming weeks, we'll release more videos about the individual machines and steps involved in the hay harvest. We'll highlight potential hazards and provide valuable tips for accident prevention. Tune in, join the discussion, and hopefully gain valuable insights for your own farm. Together, we can reduce accidents, and perhaps even prevent them altogether. ...
