  Despite the fact that driverless cars are technically considered “more dangerous” when operated by Waymo compared to human-driven Ubers, where drivers are often unpredictable and reckless, I’d still prefer robot taxis, knowing the risks they come with. At least with them, there’s no human factor involved, I can choose the music I want to listen to, and I won’t be interrupted by an &quot;overly friendly driver&quot;. Robot taxis are the future.

  We use Waymo at least 2-3 times a week here in SF. It&apos;s really impressive. It&apos;ll even honk at cars if they&apos;re backing up and getting close to it.

  Living in LA, Waymo is EVERYWHERE. I just use the Waymo app and let me tell you, I NEVER take Uber now. Waymo is as nice as an Uber Black, at UberX prices and drives perfectly and surprisingly aggressive. To sit all alone in the car without the fear of a super talkative driver, be able to blast your own music, get on calls, watch videos, just relax... it&apos;s a dream. Had it drive from Marina Del Rey to Beverly Hills with my friends and we all had &quot;sodas&quot; in our hands blasting music, the best.

  Waymo began testing cars in 2009, launched for public use in 2018 and had safety drivers in the cars until 2020. Slow ramp to just 1,700 cars in operation after 7 years. Just FYI

  I&apos;ve been using Waymo in Los Angeles for quite some time and have never had a problem. It is an incredible experience. I took a Waymo to Venice Beach on a busy Sunday afternoon and it performed flawlessly. There were pedestrians and bikes everywhere. A few of the streets are basically one lane due to cars parked on either side and the car had no problem at all. A car coming in the opposite direction came toward us when the Waymo was already halfway down the street. In response, the Waymo stopped, reversed to the beginning of the street and parked at the curb to let the car pass. Incredible. This is the future of travel in my opinion.
