Millions Don't Know This About Their Yard

What if I told you there are things buried in your own yard that you've walked over hundreds—maybe thousands—of times without ever knowing they were there? One of the questions I get asked most is, "Where should I start if I want to get into metal detecting?" My answer is always the same: start in your own yard. It's the perfect place to learn your detector, practice digging neat plugs, and discover how much history and everyday life can accumulate beneath the ground over the years. Whether your home is 10 years old or 150 years old, people have been dropping, losing, building, gardening, playing, and living on that land long before today. I've been metal detecting for many years, but I still make it a point to hunt my own yard about once a year. Every time I do, I'm reminded why I fell in love with this hobby in the first place. It's not just about finding old coins or relics—it's about curiosity. That simple question: "I wonder what's under my feet?" If you've ever thought about trying metal detecting, I hope this video encourages you to give it a shot. You might be surprised by what your own backyard has been hiding all along. About Not Thursday Not Thursday is about exploring the forgotten landscapes of New England—old colonial farms, abandoned places, stone walls, railroads, cellar holes, and the stories still hiding in the woods. Through relic hunting, landscape history, and quiet exploration, each adventure is a chance to better understand the people who came before us and the places they left behind. But sometimes the best adventure starts much closer to home. If that sounds like your kind of adventure, welcome aboard. #MetalDetecting #MetalDetectingForBeginners #TreasureHunting #RelicHunting #Backyard #OutdoorAdventure #History #NewHampshire #Finds #NotThursday Pay Pal tip jar https://www.youtube.com/redirect?even...
