Thanks for sharing your experience in an open and honest way. I will be staying in Heraklion soon, and I want to try the restaurants you guys visited. I'm a big fan of fresh seasonal food and value for money without the fancy decor.

It is better to go to the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion than to go to Knossos. It is in the center of the city (Freedom Square) and has all the ancient exhibits of the Minoan civilization.
