I have my car keys on the bedside table. If someone is in the house I just press rhe alarm button. The neighbors will do the rest for me.

I have a rental in a working-class neighborhood. I went to the neighbor, offered him $100 to let me mount a camera on his house pointed at my property, and he agreed. Two weeks later a squatter broke in. Sheriff was on scene in 30 minutes. Needless to say, the squatter got free room and board that night—compliments of the Sheriff’s Office.

Yuka is wicked. When I bought my place, I was mending my fence. A fellow from down the road stopped to make introductions and told me the fence wouldn't keep people out. I told him it was to keep the Rottweilers in...

I just moved into a house 2 months and drove my son to school every morning, I stayed consistent by going for a walk and one day I thought I better go home instead of the walk . It was the day a furniture removal truck was backing up to my house and was the last tenant trying to rob me. They visited pretending to look for someone first a week before. But the neighbors had already given the run down of him and his antics with drugs.
I pretended like I didn't recognize him in the truck drivers seat and gave a friendly wave. The look on his face was priceless. He took off fast.
