  I was in a busy and noisy  bar this night and I suddenly remembered that it was Johnny's last night and told the bartender to turn on the TV . It was the final 10 minutes , and the entire bar stopped whatever they were doing to see his send-off. Jukebox was un-plugged , pool tables went dark , and no one complained . It was a MAJOR show of respect in my mind , for a man who whole heartedly deserved it .

  It was the end of an era, I can't believe it was 92, time flies.  I'll be 64 soon and I grew up with Johnny, so nice to watch this again.

  Johnny was the man.  This was not only nostalgic but sad, because most all of these people are now gone.

  You can see the tears in his eyes ... he loved his fans ... as much as they loved him ... R.I.P  Mr. Carson .

  It’s hard to believe that Johnny Carson‘s Tonight Show has now (July 2025) been off the air longer that it was on the air (almost 30 year run).

  I miss him. He was on for 30 years and nobody knew whether he was a democrat or a republican. &nbsp;I miss those days.

  Having been around for awhile now... (78 years) I think Johnny was the best that has ever been on late night TV. None of the others could hold a candle to Johnny. There were some other notables, but none of the newer ones even gets close. God Bless you Johnny. &nbsp;Those were the days!
