  I’ve been in home construction for 45 years. I can confidently say I’ve pretty much done it all. It takes a lot to impress me. You sir have blown me away. You’ve been able to fill every need a person needs to live comfortably without worrying about keeping up with the neighbors. No HOA, no ridiculous energy bills, very low maintenance exterior etc… you are a blessed man. Congratulations!!!

  What impressed me most was Scott himself. Seems like a downright decent bloke and I hope he and his lady enjoy years of peace and happiness. His dad also needs a big shout out for obvious love and help he's contributed.

  Self sufficiency doesn't mean living in a cave. You can be comfortable by being creative with your resources and using what's available.  This is awesome!!!

  Society can break down, all utilities gone, no running water, no natural gas, no electricity, cities in complete chaos with rioting and looting......and this guy could just roll over during his nap and not give AF.<br>Truly independent, self sufficient, off the grid living. And in style I might add.

  I went off grid 1 year ago and live very simply like this guy. It&apos;s such a rewarding and relaxing life to have your time back and not be in the rat race. Living simply doesn&apos;t mean living like a bigfoot. I&apos;d rather spend a half hour a week filling my water supply from the well then spend a couple hundred bucks a month for a water bill and need to work to get the money to pay for it every month. When everything is paid off and you don&apos;t owe anyone anything you&apos;re free.

  This gent is right about the &quot;tiny home&quot; trend. &nbsp;If you get one, it doesn&apos;t take long to realize you aren&apos;t so happy w/too cramped home so you end up adding on. &nbsp;My husb was crafty and thrifty like this man &amp; knew how to do most of the labor &amp; luvd it. &nbsp;We had a lot of fun thru the yrs. &nbsp;I&apos;m 78 now and he&apos;s gone. &nbsp;I miss those times.
