I am telling you all. This anime is all about how elites keep us suppressed in order for them to perpetually be in the top

Let’s be honest here. Under the current system there is absolutely no no way Coco would be able to perform the magic needed to restore her mom even if it is possible. She either changes the entire magic world or becomes a brim cap and changes the entire magic world.

The whole manga/anime feels like an elaborate way of the old saying 'It's not what you have, it's how you use it' to me.

As a manga reader, if I were to describe Coco. She is charming, incredibly charming. She makes the impossible, possible. The literal seed to the roots for others with her ideas, once you plant the idea, you can never shut it down. Even if you try, its nagging at you to at least TRY when you are out of options. Coco is the hope for the brimhats, the people, and the witches. She paves the way for all and everyone. To the point it'll make you think, it would have been better if she never became a witch. But her very existence is needed, despite being a problem. Thats what you'd call fate. (I swear the author is so incredibly smart to make this plot)

As a manga reader my theory is that coco is a descendant of the witch and silverwood tree that fell in love and are described in the folk tale about witch society. Shes literally. The. Seed. Of. Hope.

I'll eat a hat if the 'villain' that is grooming Coco is secretly just future Coco in a failed timeline.

Yeah, it's possible. Coz feck it, were all doing multiverse and time manipulation shit in our narratives now.

Idk man Coco LITERALLY petrifying her mom right off the bat is definitely a big hint towards why the pointy hats suppress magic that much. It only takes one person fucking around to accidentally create a nuke spell that straight up wrecks havoc on the continent
Edit: case and point, the many spells the fandom has created from what they know about how spells work in WHA
