HOT TENT CAMPING FAIL I COULD HAVE DIED WHEN HORI 5 STOVE FAILED

  The stove was being shut down when I left it. Meaning no more burning. The flames were gone. If the damper was left open, it would allow the draft to keep the embers hot and that would create enough heat to set fire to the pellets stored above in the hopper stopped by the provided steel card.  The smoke didn't come from a back burn or a choked  stove.... the smoke came out of the stove from the air inlet door that failed to shut all the way which allowed air into the stove when it should have been in shut down mode.... the door was faulty and it did not close. I hope this is very, very clear to all of the " professionals " out there. So again, the stove was being shut down... the smoke came out of the stove from the air inlet door which failed to shut because it got stuck open. After uploading my video i later learned that 7 other youtubers and over 20 other non youtubers have had the exact, THE EXACT same problem happen with their hori 5 stove to them while using the stove inside a tent.. i am only the messenger, enjoy.   The exact same thing happened to me about a month ago. I bought the Hori 5 and went camping with my daughter. I woke up in the middle of the night in a tent filled with smoke. My daughter and I had to evacuate the tent and air it out in the middle of the night. I was so glad that I had taken a smoke/Co alarm with me and that woke me up. We were able to get out in the nick of time. These stoves should be recalled. I am glad you are ok

  The same thing happened to Kent Survival. He put out a warning a few months ago.

  Glad to see you, your children and the dogs aren&apos;t injured! Thank you for putting this video out. Every stove enthusiast should see this and the company should reimburse you for the damages to your tent and other gear. Be safe!

  That totally sucks brother! But so glad you, the kids and dogs are safe! Thanks for sharing this info. I was literally going to order that stove soon too. I’ll stay with my Pomoly for sure. Hopefully Green Stoves does the right thing and pulls this product and redesigns, throughly tests it before thinking about bringing it back out. Stay safe!
