  I met Michael Atiyah slightly before that time and it was clear he was suffering from dementia, and publishing nonsense papers online, but he was so revered that nobody told him.

  The fine structure "constant"  is a running coupling constant in renormalization i.e.., it depends upon the energy at which it is measured, so of course it cannot be derived from theoretical first principles.

  It is from the 15th Fibonacci number generated from Pascal’s triangle which splits the integer from the decimal.  137=165-28=(210-126)+(66-13) then 1/A+1/AB+1/ABC+1/ABCD+1/ABCDE+1/ABCDEF+1/ABCDEFG where A to G is the 15th Fibonacci number in order from left to right plus a 330 bridge to keep things in threes and supports other parts of this theory, 28, 126, 210, 330, 165, 66, 13.  137.03599908628789….  Physicists only know Alpha to 137.035999 even though they say they do.  Dig into the 5 sigma alpha tension to verify

  This effort needs a clear establishing sentence that lays out for the intelligent non-specialist the basics of what all this means.<br>At around 3.30, an attempt is made to do this, but it&apos;s too late and too inadequate.

  Could it be the like a sunflower seed arrangement ? The seeds arrange in a 137.5 degree angle to maximize photosynthesis with least energy waste, like golden ratio?

  153 triangle. 1/137/153{72} in the middle. Three days and three nights in the belly of the fish and heart of the Earth. Phi, Golden Triangles, encode virtually everything. Sun, Moon and Planets, geometry of water, Pyramids, music, and most likely much more.

  That 137 is the number of lower orbitals that the electron of the hydrogen atom can fall to below the ground state orbital and release that difference in orbital energy to be captured by a suitable catalyst to be then released in the form of useful energy.That is the exact method used by Randell Mils,. CEO of Brilliant Light Power, to produce energy by way of his Suncell.
