  Regarding Roger’s departure from the band…. as you stated, yes he was exhausted from touring. He also ended up suffering a nervous breakdown from all the stress. He chose to get out and live a quieter life. He literally went and lived in a farm away from everything. By the time the reunion came around, his head was in a much better place, and he was ready to go again.

  About Andy&apos;s departure, he was involved in the recording of what became the &quot;Notorious&quot; album, but he wasn&apos;t feeling it, basically letting the others down. So one night he went to a performance of another band who were about to break up, Missing Persons.<br><br>He met up with the band backstage and expressed his desire not to go back into the studio with Duran Duran. At which Warren Cuccurullo, Missing Persons&apos; guitar player asked him straight up if that meant that his place in Duran Duran was up for grabs. Getting the affirmative answer, Warren wasted no time, got in touch with Duran Duran&apos;s management and offered his services as a hired gun studio and live guitarist for the band.<br><br>The management was surprised, they didn&apos;t know Andy was leaving, but once they confirmed it with Andy, Warren was hired straight away. And he stayed with the band until the early 2000&apos;s when Andy came back.

  DURAN DURAN are still selling out stadiums today. <br>Arcadia &amp; The Power Station were creative side projects, not the result of ego &amp; infighting.

  Duran Duran were definitely one of the best bands of the 80’s. That Intro to Save a prayer is one of my favourites

  I was 11/12 during DDs heyday, they were huge, the craze that followed them was labeled as a second Beatles invasion❤

  The five members did come together as <b>Duran Duran</b> after the <i>Arcadia</i> and <i>The Powerstation</i> albums, to write and record the theme song to the James Bond film <i>A View to a Kill.</i> &nbsp;It was the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the time, which is why it led their <b>Live Aid</b> performance at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia (not Wembley), in July of 1985.

  I was in 8th grade when DD was getting popular. I was 100% a duranie bought all the buttons and other memorabilia I could find. I don&apos;t listen to them that much anymore but occasionally Iisten to the first album.

  The Power Station also performed on Live Aid before DD, and they played in Philadelphia, not Wembley

  Prince has thousands of unreleased completed studio tracks. Unfortunately, he didn&apos;t have an advance directive for his music catalog legacy. Unfortunately, we will both be dead and they&apos;ll still be hundreds and hundreds of great songs from him that no one will ever hear.

  Those side projects were great. But I think it possibly cost them their greatest album. That happened a lot in the 80&apos;s.

  I feel &quot;So Red The Rose&quot; if Nick had a say , would have been DD next album (great album). However The Power Station was the outlet to &nbsp;showcase Andy&apos;s and Johns real musical abilities. At the time DD (who were far better musically &nbsp;than critics gave credit) were know as just a &quot;pop&quot; act. Thankfully today the band is appreciated as the musicians they truly are
