MDB felt like a movie, I was hooked onto every single second, I loved the OST, casting, and the beauty of Punjab. By the second episode, I'd already forgotten how the first started with Baala dying. I loved the details of him stealing the surma and even being so desperate to steal his family chickens to meet Billo. The biggest thing for me was the three timelines of Billo. Younger Bilqees being a free spirited teen sneaking to meet Baala, 1996 Bilqees a soft spoken symbol of religious purity and somebody who people come to for healing, and then 1999 Bilqees a complete peerni and wearing complete black. UGH SO GOOD. I love the directors work so much. I wrote down so many notes from these two episodes because I want to remember every second of them, especially their past.

Mitti de Baway began and I was instantly hooked, mesmerised and spellbound. The direction and the acting are supreme. Each frame is a piece of art. The two episodes were pieces of art. You don’t care what is right or wrong. You don’t care Balaa is married or that he is rude to his wife or that he is stalking his past love, billo who is married and mother of children. You don’t care about right or wrong. You are just enjoying the ART!!!! I can go on and on! Wahaj is a SUPER STAR. The screen lit everytime he came on the screen. He cried and you wanted to cry, he was dying and you were like NOOOOO! And special mention to younger Balaa - that young boy is a brilliant actor.

Sorry Amna but the story of Gulbahar is really regressive especially in this day and age. Did not expect Imaad and Sanam to accept such roles.
