And now they're left loose on the streets to terrorize the rest of us. I'd much prefer they were locked up for our safety.

Appreciate your documentaries. It’s very informative and non-biased. Very factual. I appreciate that.

When I was 12 years old in 1972, my father was committed to one of the state mental hospitals for six months because of a nervous breakdown.
I don't know if it was this hospital or not.
I just remember that when my mother made us kids (my two brothers and myself) go with her to visit him there from our home in Syracuse, that we would pass the Oriskany battlefield.
I hated going there to see him!
Because he was not acting mentally healthy he scared me and I didn't want to be around him.
Walking into the big, coldly sterile building also was frightening for a kid.
I don't remember much about these forced visits, other than I hated it.
😢

When i was a kid i launched roman candles out of my bike forks at that building. It seems to be very amusing for some inmates.

I’m claustrophobic, especially being unable to move my arms and feeling trapped. That would leave me permanently mentally traumatized!

Some so called mental health professionals are still using and encouraging use of enclosed boxes for calming of persons with mental illness or disabilities. In an area of Northern New York a school was attempting to use the BOX. Luckily people reported it and community reacted [ Mohawk Reservation] .

No shit I live like 5 blocks away from this place!!! Whenever I go past it I ALWAYS get like a creepy feeling!!! 1 night I was walking home from work at like 10pm and I had to walk past this building and on the back side of it out of the 100s of windows there was 1 window that had a light on it it on but it was like a dim light it wasn't bright at all really and that shit freaked me the fuck out🤣🤣🤣
