  First of all, I want to say your dress is so beautiful and it fits you so well . <br><br>Basically, “Mulluk” means “homeland” or “motherland.” This song is based on the tragic Mulluk Cholo (“Let’s Go to the Homeland”) movement of 1921 in colonial Sylhet,Bangladesh . British tea companies had brought thousands of poor and tribal workers from Indian regions like (Bihar, Orissa, and Uttar Pradesh) with promises of better pay. On May 20, 1921, around 30,000 tea workers left the plantations together, chanting “Mulluke Cholo” and marching toward home. Many were killed, and the survivors were beaten and forced back into the tea gardens. This song is dedicated to the tea workers who were unable to return their homeland and still working as a labour in tea gardens at low cost 150-200 taka 1$-2$ per day.

  I am following your reaction videos of Coke Studio Bangla since your very first video and from the very first reaction of that video till now I must admit you are the one true reactor of Bangladeshi Music.   This amazing rendition takes me through the tea gardens of Bangladesh, where countless workers toil tirelessly to survive in a challenging world. These tea workers are descendants of individuals who were forcibly brought from the Bihar and Odisha regions of the undivided Indian subcontinent by British owners of the tea gardens, located in what is now known as Greater Sylhet in Bangladesh.
