  Hot take, but I think that a well done in game phase transition is better than a cutscene because it keeps the pacing and tension instead of interupting the fight. That being said if a character has a lot of dialogue or the phase 2 has a drastic change to phase 1 then a cutscene is better

  My god that caligo placement is well crazy...the fact that you ended it off by saying it needed more cinematic flare to be memorable...I mean this is quite possibly the most cinematic fight in the game with only heolster challenging that spot and without a doubt the most fitting and incredible music in the game...I genuinely thought that it was a joke placement...will say its not perfect tho with it moving quite a bit but that is a problem with like half the bosses in nightreign so ye

  I remember first time fighting Adel with my friends. And at start of second faze I asked "Whats is his gimmic?" he answered "He eats your FPS". He was so laggy on firs days

  great vid but If your problem was bosses running away, Its absolutely baffling you think bosses like Maris is better than fucking Gladius

  I&apos;m sorry that the only time we played together we got spit roasted in the first minute of fighting Libra. The game in general has a weird learning curve. There&apos;s a lot to understand but you&apos;re moving so fast that the on the spot decision making was something I struggled with a lot. The game became A LOT more enjoyable once I better understood routing, relics, and every character&apos;s unique gimmicks. I have since gone on to beat Libra solo with Wylder, which took 10 whole minutes of heart pounding anxiety that I hope to never do again. <br><br>It seems like everyone is on the same page with the best bosses, but are fairly mixed on the bottom half of the list. Mine would prolly go something like this (not counting enhanced versions):<br><br>8) Maris (actual NyQuil. As a melee main even after knowing what to do this fight still becomes a challenge of staying awake IRL during it. Much more tolerable with Ironeye or a caster though fs) <br>7) Adel (I&apos;m with Alex here. Excruciating mobility on this guy)<br>6) Gladius (he&apos;s very easy but he doesn&apos;t actively piss me off. I understand your position though)<br>5) Gnoster (thank allah From Soft remembered how to make a good gank again) <br>4) Caligo (I thought this fight was very cinematic, was surprised to hear that that&apos;s what you knocked it for. It&apos;s not super mechanically interesting but the arena change, music, and vibes really elevated this one for me. Divine Dragon if he was in Elden Ring) <br>3) Fulghor (enhanced Fulghor would be my number 2, his new phase rules. His normal fight is still fun af though, it feels like a very conventional Souls fight which I ofc enjoy very much) <br>2) Heolstor (completely agree this guy needed a cutscene. The screen fading to black felt like an insult more than anything. Still, amazing spectacle and cool moves, even if he&apos;s some fan fic ass character) <br>1) Libra (one of their most interesting bosses mechanically that they&apos;ve ever made. The raid boss style in this game completely shines through. I love that he has multiple different phases depending on whether you knock him out of meditation or not. The music syncing with that choice instead of just looping the phase 2 music was a great touch as well. All timer for me)<br><br>The randies I play with have been 50/50. Some truly horrible unhealthy amounts of crayon consumption but I&apos;ve had my fair share of guys who knew what they were doing as well. I guess they just don&apos;t fw you

  Excellent video, valid takes and solid reasoning even if my list looks a little different. Mainly I’d put Maris at the bottom and Fulghor at the top due to its new everdark form, but nonetheless less well articulated points were made so I can’t really be all too upset. Stoked for the return of the souls boss ranking series though 🔥

  Honestly, really needed this video. Was a great watch and I’ve yet to beat all of the nightlords but of the ones’ is I’ve beaten my list goes from least favorite to favorite; Gladius, Maris, Adel, and Caligo<br><br>Now of the ones I’ve fought; Gnoster, Gladius, Maris, Caligo, Fulghor, Adel, and Libra
