The skateboarding community is so nice, I don't think people understand this because of the stereotypes surrounding it. When I was younger and tried to learn how to skate, some older skaters that were in high school helped teach me how to skate better and gave me tips on how to skate. Anyone can learn how to skateboard and most people are super chill and helpful!

As someone who is a huge fan of both Maya and skateboarding, can I just say how unexpected how awesome it is to see an absolute legend like Ricky Glaser responding to Maya?!

The skateboarding community is something to behold. They help everyone and knows the difficulty of skateboarding, they take every opportunity to help the beginners and sit like a proud father staring into the sunset once they landed a set trick.

The great thing about the skating community is they all started where you are. I skated for well over thirty years and never once did anyone mock me for not knowing a trick or for trying something new. The best community I could ever have been a part of.
