If BTS had debuted in any other country, do you think they would have been treated better by their home country?

💜Want to support the channel? Please join here👉 patreon.com/c/HYBEBOY

It's really sad that the majority of hate I hear is coming from their own country. I'm just happy that BTS has ARMY around the world to comfort them.

If Korea doesn't want them, we, the International Army are more than happy to have them.

The fans attending Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday already knew the lyrics and you could sense their love for BTS

18.4 million people watched the "live" performance on Netflix. That means in the first hour. Everyone else who watched or rewatched it later are not included in that amount! This is huge! And BTS deserves it!

BTW, I watched the most wholesome video yesterday of a Korean family watching the Gwanghwamun concert on Netflix., a mom and dad with two daughters. They were surrounded by purple balloons and the mom was crying. So there is much love for them there too.

I was invited at the Spotify concert. and let me tell u something some ARMY has been standing in line on cold rainy day for 10 hours and more. We sing, dance and had a good time. That's how much International ARMY love BTS. Korean Media are toxic. No wonder the guys are more relaxed here in the US. ARMY always behind BTS💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I'm just going to quote a section from a 2020 interview between radio host Kim Eojun and music critic Kim Youngdae (RIP). I still consider this interview to be one of the most important BTS-related interviews and should be mandatory viewing for all ARMY.

KYD: The phenomenon that is BTS, the success BTS has in America and the global craze of BTS itself didn't go through the system of institutions. So these institutions could be the media, the promoters or record labels. From their perspective, it doesn't quite make sense nor is it particularly good to them.

KEJ: Because that would mean their powers cannot be proven.

KYD: That's right.

KEJ: Looking from their positions, they have their own influence, but BTS succeeded without going through them, so there's no reason for their existence now.

KYD: There is a formula for success. The industry, the entertainment industry has to contribute in their own ways in order for the singer to succeed, right?

KEJ: Reporters who write nice articles, producers who have them appear on their programs, agencies' abilities, these are players in this industry. Through their collaborative efforts, they will say "I made you" but BTS succeeded without going through these connections

KYD: They say things like "OK I had them on my show a few times, that's how they made it" and they say that things like that exist. But the rise of BTS was quite unique, it was almost like a grassroots movement

KEJ: And one that was worldwide.

KYD: All over the world, created by fans under their own autonomy and connections with each other. In the past, the concept of a connection between Korean fans and international fans didn't exist. Korean fans were Korean fans, international fans were international fans. But ARMY is very unusual. They encourage each other, they translate the contents for each other, they are building a system of their own. And that's bypassing the PR teams at agencies or promoters that have existed.

KEJ: It's also bypassing the media. BTS is the emergence of something beyond their reach. They didn't contribute to it. They didn't do anything. What that means is, for the people who live for exerting their influence on others, they don't feel good.

KYD: It's well-known right? BigHit Entertainment and BTS, communicating with them compared to other groups is not easy. Another way to say "communication with them isn't easy" means contacting them to agree to interviews etc. is not easy.

KEJ: It means it's not easy for a reporter who wants to interview them, they won't do it. But it also means that BTS has no debt with this system.

KYD: Yes, that's right.

KEJ: Means to them, they're playing hard to get. Means no matter how much you try to get dirt on them, there's nothing there. So I guess for them, their very existence is very disconcerting and a reason why they don't like BTS even with a part of them not being able to believe what's going on.
